This presentation shares and discusses results from long-term and ongoing research on participatory design for everyday health in a Danish neighbourhood. The focus is to understand how to design systems for local communities, in this case specifically how to support local residents and community workers in development of capacity around everyday health in a neighbourhood with low socio-economic status and significant health challenges. Local communities have emerged as an important entity for health promotion. Yet, digital technology for everyday health predominantly focuses on individual use and performance optimisation. The presentation shares methods and results for engaging residents and community workers in PD and a mobile application designed to support community collaboration around health.
